Working at WME
WME is the Regional Employers Organisation offering a range of services aimed at Local Councils and the wider Public Sector to support performance improvement at both an individual and organisational level. We are all about ‘people and leadership solutions’ helping our diverse client base make the best use of their greatest resource – their people. We are a small team of highly experienced individuals striving to provide a responsive and flexible service.
We are based in a modern office space in Willenhall, where we regularly come together as functional and project teams to collaborate, and of course catch up. However, we do all also work from home and our client’s sites across the region – generally we’re in the office one or two days a week. We’re flexible in terms of working hours with many of the team working condensed or part-time arrangements – if this would suit you we’d be happy to discuss. Later this year we’ll be relocating to our new home in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham
We offer fantastic benefits including:
- An excellent local government pension scheme
- Generous holiday entitlement from 24 up to 33 days (plus 2 extra statutory days and bank holidays) depending on job role and length of service
- Training and development opportunities
- Access to health and wellbeing support (including Occupational Health, Physiotherapy and Counselling Services)
- Eye care vouchers
Testimonials
Chantelle Wooldridge, Principal Consultant Resourcing
“Its brilliant working at WME and being able to get involved a wide variety of projects, which really contribute to supporting communities within the region. For me though, what I love most, is working with the people. We are a small organisation and we all work and support each other to help achieve both our personal and professional goals. We are a close #wmefamily.”
Chrisie Snape, Business Service Advisor and Executive Support to Chief Executive
Chloe Herrmann, Senior Consultant Resourcing
“Everyone is so helpful and welcoming – I felt part of the team from my first day”
“Although WME is a small organisation, that doesn’t mean that the work you get involved in is small in scale and impact. We get involved in a wide range of projects and activities supporting public sector organisations across the whole of the region”
Murthaza Qadri, Service Assistant L&OD
“WME has been a breath of fresh air in comparison to my previous roles for several reasons. Firstly, the work life balance deserves a mention but most importantly seeing first hand how the work I undertake helps to support local communities, is something I am very proud of thus I am grateful to be a part of the WME family.”
